Everything about Megan and Travis’s PEI wedding says summer – the coral and grey colours, the scenic backdrop, the sunshine and greenery, in addition to being surrounded by friends and family. What more could you ask for on your wedding day?

Megan and Travis met during University through a mutual friend. After they met, they did not spend much time apart. Megan and Travis dated for a period of five years until Travis proposed to Megan in Mexico at Christmas Time. The two were out for dinner on a patio when they were caught in a rainstorm. Travis proposed that night after they ran home to their resort room hand in hand.

The most important thing Megan and Travis wanted to achieve in their wedding experience was to host an unforgettable day and night for their family and closest friends. Family is very important to the two of them and they picked their venue with this in mind. Travis and Megan’s family all stayed at the Rodd Brudenell resort in cottages which allowed for the two families to mingle during the entire weekend of the wedding.

The wedding colours were coral and grey which brought out the bright beautiful backsplash of the river behind the ceremony space. Prince Edward Island was fully in bloom the last weekend of August, allowing the coral to further pop against the greenery.

The highlight of the wedding day was dancing and celebrating the day with family and friends into the wee morning hours.

The only advice for future brides to be is to remember that the partner you’re marrying is the most important decision you have to make, not the decisions encompassing one day for the wedding.
